Who is Reliant?
We were born in 1989 as a mission support agency for a small group of campus church planters. A lot's changed since then! (Less stonewashed jeans, for one).
Today we mobilize church planters and missionaries across like-minded missional groups and church-planting networks. As we've expanded our partnerships, we've adopted a new name. Yet our devotion to Jesus' command to "Go and make disciples..." remains; It's who we are.

Matt Elkins
Director of Program Teams
Matt currently serves as the Director of Programs at Reliant Mission. He lives in Rockwall, TX, with his wife, Katharine, and their four children, ages 9–17. With a deep passion for missions, Matt has dedicated the past 25 years to various roles—including serving as a missionary in North Africa and Japan, a missions pastor at The Village Church in Dallas, and now in his leadership role at Reliant. Beyond ministry, Matt enjoys running, reading, and going on adventures with his family.
