Campus Missionary at New Life Detroit, Wayne State University
Steve and Erin are passionate about seeing transformation and redemption of college student’s lives through the Gospel of Christ at Wayne State University in Detroit. Their desire is to be used by God to set the stage for Wayne State students to encounter Christ and send them into a city and world in need of Him. Through that life transformation, they hope to see the next generation of tomorrow’s leaders be raised up as men and women of character who will be ambassadors of love and justice for the Gospel in the city of Detroit. Beginning with one student in 2013, we have seen God grow this young church into a diverse, faith-filled, and mobilized community at Wayne State University and the College for Creative Studies. At New Life Church Detroit, Erin focuses on leading the church's social justice ministry, developing strategic community partnerships, and discipling students to have a heart for the poor and justice in their community. Steve works to disciple young men and raise up leaders, leading small groups, and teaching on Sunday mornings as a part of the pastoral training program.
