Coming to know Jesus in 8th grade Heather had been trying to learn what it means to be a disciple. After transferring to ISU her junior year she met Cornerstone and her relationship with God started to grow. Heather started being discipled and focused on finding Christ-centered friendships. She could see the brokenness through the many parties on campus and decided to join Cornerstone's mission as a student leader in connecting students to Christ through church community. During her senior year of college she started to feel a calling to join Cornerstone's staff team. After a lot of prayer and many conversations later, she found herself following God's call to staff. Heather has a passion for seeing generations changed by Jesus through college ministry. Since becoming a [foster] mama, she loves being able to use her gifts of administration to support the staff team and plan events where students can engage with the community and encounter Jesus. Heather serves in the day to day leadership in Cornerstone and loves training college students in sharing their faith with others. Her husband, Alec, is a history teacher at a local Middle School. He is an active member in Corner and on Sunday mornings. Together, Heather and Alec are passionate about allowing God to use their family to help transform the lives of college students and to see future generations forever changed by the gospel.
